Building the agents that act — and the lab that keeps them safe.
Macrodeep is a research lab and product company. We develop general agents and the model that drives them, Nico 2.5, then put them to work in the real economy.
Make general agents useful, and make them trustworthy — at the same time.
For two decades, software waited to be told exactly what to do. The frontier today is a system you can hand a goal and trust to pursue it — researching, planning, recovering from error, and finishing. We call these general agents, and we think they are the most consequential technology of the decade.
We also think capability without control is a dead end. So we build both at once: the agent that can act, and the oversight that keeps it legible while it does. Our constitution sets out the principles every Macrodeep agent is trained and held to.
The science of agency
Long-horizon reinforcement learning, world models, evaluation, and oversight — the foundations a general agent stands on.

grain.sh and Salestools.io put general agents to work today — and feed real outcomes back into the research.

An agent is judged by what changes in the world, not by how fluent it sounds. We hold ourselves to the same bar.
Safety is a feature, not a tax
Oversight, evals, and steerability ship in the same release as capability — never bolted on after.
Small teams, real ownership
We stay deliberately small. Every person owns a problem end to end and sees it reach production.
Build in the open
We publish what we learn. The frontier moves faster, and safer, when the work is legible to others.

Applied research, data, and the engineering behind production agent systems.

A small lab with an unreasonable amount of conviction.
Researchers, engineers, and operators who’ve shipped frontier systems and real products. We’re united by one belief: general agents are coming, and the people who build them should be the ones most serious about getting it right.
